These terms describe use of OurSimons History, maintained by Brock Simon. By using the private archive or its assistant connection, you agree to use it under these terms. Contact contact@oursimons.com with questions. Our privacy policy explains how information is handled.

Invited access

Access is personal and limited to the permissions granted to your own account. An invitation or installed plugin does not give you rights to every record. Do not share credentials, use another person’s account, bypass access controls, or attempt to retrieve restricted material. Access may be restricted or withdrawn to protect people, sources, or the service.

Respect people and sources

Use family information respectfully. Do not publish or redistribute private records, contact details, documents, or information about living people without the necessary permission. Cite sources when sharing permitted research, preserve uncertainty, and respect copyright and any restrictions attached to original material. Access to a document is not a transfer of ownership or a general publication licence.

Contributions and corrections

Only submit material you have the right to share. You retain any rights you hold in your contributions and permit the maintainer to store, review, back up, and display them within the archive according to the agreed permissions. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Contact the maintainer if you want a correction, removal, or a change in visibility.

Research has limits

The archive may contain incomplete records, transcription errors, disputed identities, and conflicting interpretations. Assistant-generated summaries can also be wrong. Check original sources and the stated confidence before relying on an answer. The service does not certify identities, ancestry, citizenship eligibility, inheritance rights, or other legal conclusions.

Assistant connections and availability

The history connection is read-only. Information returned to an assistant enters that provider’s service under its separate terms and your account settings. Its plan requirements and availability are outside our control. OurSimons History is an independent family project and is not endorsed by OpenAI.

This is a maintained family resource, not a service with guaranteed uptime or response times. Features, access, and availability may change, and the archive may be interrupted for maintenance or security work. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes and contact

Updated terms will be posted here with a revised date. Material changes affecting existing members will be communicated through the archive or directly where appropriate. For access, source, privacy, or other concerns, use our contact and support page.
